A glossary of the theoretical apparatus

A conceptual instrument for analysing post-photographic visual creation, in three terms — attention, intention, message: an image without attention is noise; without intention, accident; without message, decoration.

The aura thought not as a property of the unique original but as a relation: the emergent effect of a temporary, unrepeatable configuration between the object's material support, its active digital layer, and the participant's body in the concrete act of activation.

An entity that exists simultaneously in a material and a digital regime, such that these dimensions cannot be separated without the object losing its identity — an ontological node in which materiality, data, interface and experience are interdependent.

The human body dissolved into a distribution of probabilities — weights, vectors, frequencies — and yet still flesh through everything it produces.
