A glossary of the theoretical apparatus

LEXICON gathers, defines and relates the original concepts developed in the practice and research of Flavian Savescu — a theoretical apparatus of the image in the post-photographic age. Each term has a citable canonical definition, a genealogy of its formulation, relations to the other concepts of the system, and references to the published texts.

The author

Flavian Savescu is a visual artist and researcher based in Reșița, Romania. He works at the intersection of photography, generative systems and visual theory. He is the author of the volume De la real la augmentat. Artistul vizual în epoca post-fotografică (2026); a second volume, Corporalitate, spațiu și materialitate în arta post-fotografică (Vol. II-A), is a manuscript in progress. He publishes essays on the theory of the image in the cultural press — Revista Cultura, Helion, Echinox, Vatra, eCronica.

Purpose
